The Challenge

What Made This Project Difficult

A June hailstorm damaged roofs across the neighborhood, and every homeowner filed a separate claim with different carriers, adjusters and timelines. Individual contractors were knocking doors with wildly different scopes, and several homeowners had already received denials for insufficient documentation.

Our Approach

How Mavrix Solved It

We offered a coordinated neighborhood program: one point of contact, a standardized documentation package for every home, and adjuster meetings scheduled in blocks. For the eight homes that had been denied, we prepared supplemental documentation showing functional damage, code-required ice-and-water shield and drip edge, and ventilation deficiencies. Six of those eight were approved on resubmission. Roofing work was sequenced street by street so no block had more than three active roofs at once.

Outcomes

• 38 roofs replaced and 22 homes re-sided in nine weeks
• Six of eight initial claim denials successfully overturned
• Code-required items added to scopes that adjusters had omitted
• Every yard magnet-swept twice; no nail-related tire claims
