A kitchen remodel is really four projects stacked on top of each other: demolition, rough trades, finishes and cabinetry. When those four are run by four different companies, the homeowner becomes the general contractor, the schedule slips, and small mistakes compound. Mavrix Build Co. runs all four under one contract with one project manager who is on site daily.

We start with how you cook, store and move through the room. A kitchen with a 42-inch aisle between the island and the range feels cramped no matter how beautiful the countertop is, and a bathroom with the shower door swinging into the vanity is a daily annoyance for the next twenty years. Fixing those before demolition is free; fixing them after is not.

Structurally, we handle what other remodelers sub out. If your plan requires removing a wall, we evaluate whether it is load-bearing, engineer the beam, pull the permit and install the post footing. If you want the range moved to the exterior wall, we coordinate the gas line, the dedicated circuit and the hood duct through the roof in one permit package.

On finishes, you get a selection calendar with real showroom pricing rather than a vague allowance. Clients who stay ahead of their selections finish on time; clients who choose tile the week it is scheduled to install lose a week. Our project manager will keep you two steps ahead whether you ask or not.

Larger kitchens with structural work or high-end appliance packages can exceed that. We give you a fixed price with named allowances so you can see where the money goes.

In most cases, yes. We build dust containment walls, protect floors and pathways, and set up a temporary kitchen with your refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. If the only bathroom is being remodeled we will tell you up front, because that changes the plan significantly.

Bathrooms typically run 3 to 4 weeks. Kitchens run 5 to 7 weeks when selections are made on schedule. The single biggest cause of delay is late material selections, which is why we issue a selection calendar with hard deadlines at contract signing.

We handle space planning, cabinetry design, lighting layout and material coordination in-house at no additional design fee when you build with us. If you have your own designer we are glad to work with them and will coordinate drawings directly.

We stop, photograph it, and send you a written change order with the cost to correct it before we proceed. In homes built before 1980 we frequently find undersized wiring and deteriorated plumbing, so we build a contingency line into your contract and tell you honestly what we expect to find.

Yes. We pull permits for all structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical work and coordinate every inspection. Unpermitted remodel work is a disclosure problem when you sell, so we do not skip it even when a homeowner asks us to.
